Rural Roots Rising

Rural Organizing Project, www.rop.org, is a statewide network of autonomous volunteer-run groups that are committed to advancing human dignity and democracy. They are producing a podcast aimed at greater representation of local organizing stories that focus on the voices of rural Oregonians.

Every 4th Sunday at 1pm, KBOG will air the program called Rural Roots Rising, and the episodes will connect the dots between issues that impact rural Oregon, such as immigration, affordable housing, and responding to disasters from wildfires to economic recession. With this focus we will be lifting up each month the ways rural Oregonians are building stronger and more vibrant communities!
