We Do The Work believes American Workers are at the heart of our Economy and Culture and deserve dignity, respect, and a decent family wage. We Do The Work is dedicated to the well-being of all workers, union and non-union alike. The program believes that everyone who toils for wages or salaries, or who would if they could find a job, deserves to be treated fairly and have the opportunity to live in economic security. With the drastic increase in inequality over the last thirty years, fair treatment and economic security have become more mirage than reality to millions of workers.

In its interviews, reports and commentaries, We Do The Work explores why and how workers are under attack and suggests what we can do about it. Program topics range from free trade agreements to health care, from immigration to legislative deception. Though We Do The Work originates in a rural Washington State community at KSVR 91.7, its interests are often national and sometimes even global in scope. In short, We Do The Work provides listeners with the knowledge and tools they need to seek and achieve social and economic justice for all of us who do the nation’s work. Law and Disorder is a weekly, independent civil liberties radio program airing across the United States and podcasting on the web. Law and Disorder provides timely legal perspectives on issues concerning civil liberties, privacy, right to dissent and practices of torture exercised by the US government and private corporations. Our guests are leading authorities in their fields from around the country, and sometimes internationally. They include authors, lawyers, activists, scholars, and advocates focusing on such areas as free speech, the environment, prisoners’ rights, workers’ rights, trends in privatization, and government and corporate accountability.

Co-hosts Heidi Boghosian and Michael Smith are New York based attorneys and writers. Each show features two or three interview segments with brief introductory host exchanges or editorials on current affairs. Each segment ends with a way that listeners can learn more about, or even get involved in, the issue at hand. Funding has been made possible by the Puffin Foundation.

First Voices Radio brings to the airwaves the experiences, perspectives and struggles of Indigenous people who have been almost totally excluded from both mainstream and progressive, alternative media. Our purpose is to help ensure the continuance and survival of Indigenous cultures and Nations by letting the People tell their own story, in their own words, and often in their own languages and ways of speaking. And with as little outside interference and interruption as possible.

Founder and Host Tiokasin Ghosthorse brings his global perspective experience of living with and understanding these two worlds – Indigenous and non-Indigenous. Indigenous knowledge empowers through inclusion, by teaching responsibility of choices and contributing to an emerging world affecting Mother Earth.
